Calliope is leader and first of the Open. Not much is known about her, but she is equally loved
and feared by the others. She spends most of her time alone painting, except for when she appears to give wisdom
or orders to the group. They always follow.

Recently her nightmares have invaded even her waking hours. In Book 2 she will leave the group to figure out what is causing the changes
in her mind's landscape. Will her absence leave a void of leadership at a crucial time in the training of the Open?
